We are pleased that customers are more and more interested in the origin and quality of the products they buy. That is why, within an information campaign for chicken and bacon sandwich and roast beef and horseradish baguette we wish to tell you clearly what meat you taste.

We do not try to skimp on cheap foreign meat. On the contrary, we guarantee high-quality meat from Czech breeds. We pay close attention to the selection of suppliers, and we carefully examine each of them.

imageIn the Roastbeef and horseradish baguette one tastes the delicious roast beef from the heart of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. Thanks to its nutritious soil and healthy atmosphere lacking any industrial waste products, it offers cows a natural and airy environment for breeding.

In Jan Vlcek´s breeding, in Vysočina (Highlands), cows are on pasture all day, where they have enough natural movement and space. Their food contains no growth promoters, antibiotics or hormones, its substantial part consisting of green fodder from pastures, alwvays available. The cow farmer admits first-class French Charolais Breeding bulls, whose major feature is fecundity, longevity and good health with no genetically conditional disorders. Charolais Bulls have a large skeleton, excellent conformation and their meat is really low in fat.

The animals are under permanent control of the State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Republic which takes care of the animal health and food safety.

Part of the roast beef gets into the sandwich also from the breed of Křižanov Agricultural cooperative in the Highlands. They use their own feed grains, feed mixtures are then mixed in their own dispensers, so that Křižanov breeders can watch that everything is as it should be. In addition, they are subject to regular checks made by the Central Agricultural Control Institute. Currently they have built a completely new cowshed for cattle, which is deliberately designed for a larger capacity, the animals having thus enough room in the cowshed. Generally speaking the conditions for animals are airy and natural, the agricultaral cooperative constantly working on their improval and on expanding their pastures areas. The herd consists exclusively of high quality meat breeds.

imageWe have a new chicken and bacon sandwich, based on quality chicken meat from the Písek region. Local farms grow chickens in modern fattening sheds on deep bedding. Thanks to modern air conditioning, chickens have a permanent and sufficient supply of fresh air and the optimum temperature in the hall. Chickens have a regular and ample fluid intake and feed quality. This also affects the quality of their meat. The lighting of the area is chosen according to the latest research: by using a dimmer, chickens get dosed light, for being more quiet and grown.

In the Egg and radish sandwiches one can find eggs from Střížov bedding breeding in Pilsen. In the local breed hens do not live in cages, but in a great hall, where they can lay eggs in nests. They have also a perch and a floor that is covered with bedding – made of straw or sawdust. So chickens can run around, scrape and peck, activities that are their major life filling.

By deciding to buy eggs and poultry meat from farms where the welfare of hens is ensured, the Crocodille company wants to help improve the overall approach to this problem.
